Discussion
There have been no major issues or challenges in completing the project deliverables throughout the semester. However, one thing that the group could have worked on is showing initiative. Tasks were assigned well ahead of the due dates but work did not proceed until close to the deadlines. Nothing has been late and the standards have been high but as a whole the team could have benefit from showing more initiative to get work done well ahead of time. This would have helped to prevent issues that could have caused the project to suffer.
In the event of a conflict (Poor quality of work, late work, etc.), problems were promptly dealt with by scheduling an additional mandatory group meeting. This meeting would cover the conflict and work to resolve any dispute within the group. All problems would be addressed to the group as a whole and discussion would continue until all problems are solved. The following procedure was be followed to ensure that all issues are addressed:
-
Identify the problem - In the event a problem arises, it is the responsibility of the concerned group member to bring the issue to the attention of the other group members.
-
Schedule a meeting - After the problem has been identified, it will be the responsibility of the project coordinator (Alex DeMay) to call a mandatory group meeting.
-
Address the problem - The concerned group member will present the issue to the other group members, from which a discussion will take place. All group members will weigh in on the issue and propose potential solutions.
-
Solve the Problem - The meeting will continue until a plan of action is developed. If the problem cannot be solved in the meeting or the problem persists, it will be brought to the attention of the MAE 494 staff for further review.

In order to facilitate the completion of the proposed design, the project team developed a Gantt chart. The Gantt chart schedules all major events and milestones from conceptualization to final delivery.
